I'm definately getting the V6 - hopefully something equivalent to the premium package for the V6 stang. I'm planning to you it as a date/sunday driver. As such, going to keep to exhaust/intake mods and exterior/appearance mods only. If I can get the beefier LLT to satisfy my performance desires (It doesn't necessarily have to be fast, just have a fun, seat of the pants feel - hell, my 86 IROC did 0-60 in more than 6 seconds and it was still a blast to drive! - something I can take turns fast from stoplights in and feel my stomach pound against my spine) all the better, but I'd settle for a simple LY7.

I put 3,000 hwy miles a year on my personal vehicle. I'm gonna be that grey haired 50 year old man in the convert. Z28. Maybe I can drive it till I'm 70 and get my money back out of it. Anyone wanna buy it in 2030? One owner lo-miles driven by an old man to church and back on sunday.
That torque curve is amazing, just off idle to...7 grand??? That thing don't need a six speed trans.

i dont know which way i am going to go... ive ALWAYS wanted a V8. just the sound of the engine gives me an adrenaline rush, and i wouldnt be exaggerating when id claim to have almost bought a V8 Mustang a few years back.
BUT. gas is only going up. and i plan on having this car a long time. so i dont know. but the performance of the V6 is reasurring, but not a deal sealer for me just because it will never have the feel of a V8. And to me, that means it would never have the feeling of a Camaro. |

This will be my last car for a while and with gas prices going up, I can only hope it's what everybody is looking for! From the specs, it looks right on point!

Im getting a v6 because the 300 hp will do just fine and with gas prices sky rocketing the v6 will pretty good MPG compared to the camaros competion.

We're still waiting for the official options, spec and numbers. But, we pretty much agree with you. Looking good so far.

For those of you considering a V6, I can fully understand if it is price alone that will influence your choice.. You'll probably save $500 a years on gas getting the V6, and pay a little less on car insurance as well.. Monthly car payments will be lower obviously as well.. Obviously if the car is rates at 300HP, it will not be slow by any means. However for those wanting more torque like me, the V8 is the only choice. |
