Cigarette (Accessory Plug) fitment issue

Anyone else have this issue.

I used my garmin GPS in the cigarette outlet by the 4 pack gauges, and I could not get it out....I practically removed the console while pulling on the power adapter....

Ultimatly I had to use a screwdriver to hold down the housing to remove the Garmin adapter.....

Just wanted to see if this was common, as this does not occur in my other vehicles with this unit.

It must be annoying that even your car is trying to get you to quit.

My Camaro smokes but that doesnt mean I have to turn of the T/C on! I dont smoke in her,but still, its a cigarette lighter, shouldnt it do what its function in life is? This drives me nuts, because my lighter isnt always by my side. The only in my 77 Lincoln works all day and all night-new Camaro-Nope.

I have the same issue when using any charger or power adapter in the center accesory plug by the T/C button. Any time i remove that charger, out cames the entire assembly.. I am taking mine by the dealer for reg service this week and will let you know if they fix it.

Yep, I have a garmin, and it doesn't work in the center plug, just the console. And they both SUCK at tryin' to remove it, ( to the point of tearing up the whole center console, and the whole set of gauges...) so it sounds like an issue. I thought well, maybe its new and just tight. But, i guess ima have to take it and find out WTF the problem is. So, it's not just you.
