It's hard to believe it's been 4 years since I got my Camaro. I've always claimed that this car would be sold at the estate sale when I'm gone, but it seems that time has come a bit earlier than I planned.
Over the last year or so it's been getting progressively harder to drive the car because my left leg and a clutch pedal just don't get along so well anymore. As much as I hate to admit it, I need a car with an automatic. I couldn't talk the wife into a C7 Z06 so yesterday I ordered a Blue Velvet automatic ZL1. Now I have to sell the SS to make room.

Not completely since the stock ZL1 will be about the same RWHP I have now with a warranty I don't have anymore. Of course, it only took me about 6 months to wipe out the warranty on the SS.
CAI, headers and a line lock. I'll be ready to race and should be quicker assuming the driver doesn't mess up.

Well, the build wait is over. 2015 ZL1 # 963 is built.
Now the shipping wait begins. The car will get here as the Mods would say "SOON".

Man, I live in NYC and have had since 1977 a '77 Firebird 350, '88 Camaro IROC, '01 Mustang Bullitt, '04 Corvette Coupe and my current '13 Corvette Grand Sport. I have a '15 AGM ZL1 on order now.
I've got to tell you that reading your build thread with all the pictures was like taking a short but really great vacation from my work day responsibilities, and I thank you. Good Luck with everything! Ken |

My new ZL1 arrived on Wednesday. Had the windows tinted Thursday and put on the new CAI on Saturday. I already ordered a Rotofab big gulp scoop, a ported throttle body and drop springs for it as well.

I took the ZL1 to the track for the first time last night to get a few baseline numbers. Street tires at normal pressure, 93*, 100+% humidity. 140* track. I only made 3 passes. This was the second. I screwed the pooch on the first run and the supercharger was heat soaked on the last. I see a new heat exchanger for the supercharger in the near future.

I got the new heat exchanger for the ZL1 today. I'll be taking the front end off as soon as I get the tank to go with it.
