Trunk button! not working @%^#

Okay so before when I had my door panels off I noticed a rubber piece in the trunk button to make the button "springy" because it fell apart and I had to put it back together . However I just had repair work done in which the body guy had to take the door panel apart and now the button has no "springy" feeling. Just took it off real quick only to find out the rubber buttons missing. anyone know where I can buy one? otherwise ill go back and yell at them lol

This happened to me yesterday when I installed my Infinity speakers. Unless the installer found it, I'm sure it's lost forever. I'm lucky I found mine, it flew to the other side of the garage when it came apart. Dealership might be able to order the switch, or get it online at GMpartshouse or any other parts site.

the copper circle on the rubber nub is suppose to go down, meaning towards the inside of the door. It pushes against the sensor to complete the circuit = trunk pop, its also springy so it releases back to original state

As far as the switch itself its part number GM92224594:

Has anyone put this black rubber nub back in? I found mine (luckily!) and now not sure where it goes on the housing itself? Just on the back end.. just sits there? Or what?

I did this a while back, but I believe you can just tuck it back in to the underside of the actual button and snap the connector back in place. Just make sure it doesn't fall back out while you're doing it.
