Nice truck.

I live on a dirt road in the country and haven't had any issues-- just take it at less than 20mph and wash the car daily.

Mark my words - in 30 years you will be wishing you'd kept that SS, parked it in the barn with low miles, and got you a beater to beat up on your dirt road.
I have a friend who did that with his 67 gt 350 that he bought brand new in 1966. It now has less than 20k miles on it, has original everything, and he calls it "my retirement". He has plenty of other fine classics that he drives the heck out of, but the gt only goes out on very special occasions.
Enjoy your new truck, it should serve you well.

Why did you change the wheels on the Sierra? And does that have a leveling kit on it? I am thinking about putting one on my Silverado

I too live out on a long dirt road, no issues here, the only thing is it gets dirty fast but it is still worth it having the IBM color, I wash it once a week. I am realizing i really need a set of weather tech floor mats to corral the dirt I track into the car. we are going to get a Jeep Wrangler for our weekend jaunts but as long as I can still have my Camaro I am happy. I was originally going to fix up a 68 Camaro that I had for twenty years but since they came out with this new sty;e of Camaro I got rid of it and never looked back. I however was prepared from the beginning on driving that classic on the same dirt road if need be. I drive between Athens GA and Edgefield SC twice a week and so I see I am very close to the same neck of the woods as you are, I see many Camaros of my drive back and forth.
Good luck either way, those Silverados are nice trucks, there is no substitute when it comes to pick up trcks.....Chevy all the way.

yeah it has a 2 inch leveling kit on it. i put it on there the day after i bought it. i changed the rims because i love the 06 style rims and i found a guy that would trade me my rims and tires for those 17's and 35's so i said heck yeah. i also hate chrome, it had chrome running boards on it and i took them off. its the slt so it had a lot of chrome crap on it. i bought the slt package cause the interior on them is awesome. heres a pic of the interior.
