RS headlight & Halo

Hey guys, sorry for asking a lot a newbies questions but isn't RS headlight and halo head light are the same thing?
If not can anyone explain me what are the different? Because someone told me that it will cost me $700 to get my LT an RS light but I saw online at aftermarket store a Halo for only $200s what are the differences?
Thanks

RS headlights have halos (but not all halo head lights are RS lights). Aftermarket companies can ADD halo lights (for $200, you're only getting the halo ring, not including price to install) to the lights that don't come with them (non-RS lights). You can also buy the eagle eye lights that look similar to the RS headlights for $400.

after reading these forums...I think the overall consensus was:
If all you want is the halo headlights from the RS package....DON'T BUY THE RS PACKAGE!
RS package headlights+wheels+badges are worth the cost however. (IMO)

the gm halos you can find for around 600-700 i have some sets....there are aftermarket lights but they will never match the look and quality of the gm rs headlights.

The RS headlights are more than just halos... they also have the high end HID headlights rather than the convention halogen bulbs. HIDs are much brighter, but much more expensive as well.
