I haven't been there for a while, but gas on the east coast seems to be always cheaper in SC, with GA being the next cheapest. My dau-in-law was in NJ a few weeks ago and the gas there was almost as cheap as SC. That surprised me, especially since there is no self serve there.

NC tax is 2x of all neighboring states, but still better than the west coast!

Filled up my rental car in Tampa, Fl this AM @ $359.9 for Mobil regular....... Got back to Ct and
paid $407.9 for Mobil regular. State taxes have a lot to do with the cost.

About $3.95 last week here in Mass for Suunco 93 octane. Didn't they use to have 94 octane? I remember that back in the 90s...
I stopped at Shell first to use a card I have that gets me $.25 off a gallon. They jack the price for credit (I use debit but this place still charged the credit price) and it was like $4.15 a gallon. I know there are cheaper Shell stations so I said screw it and drove away. The Suunco was nearly as cheap as the Shell would have been after discount. My car is mostly a weekend car but I drive it to work during the week in this weather. No sense in having a vert if you aren't going to use it in the prime months of New England weather... |

CT is awful! My wife goes to Foxwoods once a month (hey, I get the car I want, she gets to gamble once a month) and I always remind her to fill up before she leaves the state (Mass).
