When I called and asked my dealer, they made it abundantly clear that if I admit to having used armor all on my dashboard, it would no longer be covered under warranty.

I don't think there is anything wrong with the material that the dash is made of that causes it to crack on its own. I learned many years ago that the enemy of plastic (which the dash is made of, aka vinyl) is heat and sun. I have always kept a set of sun shades in my car. Every time I exit the car when it is outside, I put the shades in, even on cloudy days. Even to run into the store for a minute. None of my current cars have any sign of anything wrong with the dash and one is nine years old.
Where I live the summers are very hot with periods over 100 degrees. So ask yourself, do you use sun shades?

On cars this new the dash should not crack. Are conv. owners expected to drive top down only at night to keep sunlight off the dash? It appears the cracking is on 2010 models. I have an early production 2011, fours years now and less than 7,000 miles, no crack yet but still concerned. Should note I also have a 1998 Riviera, dash is perfect. I traded a 1996 Sebring LXI for my Camaro in 2010, 100,000 miles, dash was perfect.

I got mine from dashdesigns but my shop has an account with them so they're extra cheap for me. It looks great on my car, not sure which brand I linked I just copied & pasted the first one on amazon. I have no cracks so far after a year and I put the dash mat on within the first month, hopefully that's enough to keep it from cracking later

I also have one for the deck

My early '10 SS dash is still crack free but I make sure I never press down on it when
I'm cleaning the inside of my windshield.

Everyone should call GM Customer Service and place complaints about it. Don't know where it will go but the more people who place the complaint case the better.

Mine is cracked also, about a 6" crack there on the passenger side.

I guess that means that the GM-Customer-Service person has not been in this thread?
