Has anyone removed the tail light covers?

I'm trying to install the AAC Afterburners and I'm having a hell of a time trying to get the tail light covers off. I've been baking and cutting for hours now with little progress. I'm almost at the point of giving up.

Anyone that has done this have any suggestions? I would be grateful.

Baking does not help (at least it didn't help me). Grab a utility knife and score between the lens and housing. A few trips around will get it off.

Gave up on the utility knife and did it in a minute with the dremel kit.
