My dealer supposed to have 6 allocations , sent my deposit for #5. should have order number the 29th. he mentioned that the first 2 was already pulled for order? what does this mean if anything . he's saying the first 2 should be jan-febuary ship date would the next #3 #4 and #5 be later ship dates?

Your dealer is 100% LYING or is so out of the loop!

Orders won't get pulled till mid/late November

They won't start building the cars until early/mid January, after shut down. Once they sequence, build and inspect the cars... the first cars won't hit dealers till February at the soonest. Your dealer is being WAY too liberal with unknown information. Hell, how would he even know when his allocations are for? The first concensus isn't for 3 or 4 weeks.

His valid information ended at 6, unless he's pulling you chain.

What Rick Hendrick did is no reflextion with Barrett Jackson and the YMCA when it comes to the current pricing and dealer markup of the ZL-1. If that was the case then when the 2010s came out dealers would have been marking them up 10 to 15k over MSRP.

Is the 2012 going to be a limited production run? Yes, but it's not going to be that rare.

Will dealerships mark the car up. Yes, because they want to make more money on a limited car.

Are there going to be people with deep pockets that will pay almost any price for the car? Yes, just because they can.

Is it fair? No, but money makes the world go around. You have to pay to play sometimes.

Every person that can afford one should have the chance to buy one, but in reality it just doesn't work that way. We know that this is a short build year for the ZL-1. I would guess that the 2013 car will be able to be spotted at any dealership that qualifies to sell the car.

Oh and remember MSRP= Manufacture Suggested Retail Price. It can go either way if the dealership wants. It does suck that there are dealerships that take the extreme and over price the car.

I wouldn't unless your dealer has given you a secured (based on dealers word and promise to you OR via word and/or deposit or contract) allocation for one.
Otherwise your car will just sit in the system and not move.
