wheel and exhaust question
Considering a 1LE. I greatly dislike the black wheel. What could be done to get to a chrome/polished bright wheel ? Also, does the upgrade exhaust come with the 1LE package or is it an option ? How about the short throw shifter ?
Thanks. |

Just get the wheels and sell them. They are probably the #1 sought after Camaro item and you will come out way ahead. All the rest is standard.

From the factory the 1Le only comes with the black wheels. The dual mode exhaust (NPP) is an option on all manual Camaros. The 1LE comes with the short throw shifter from the ZL1 as well as the flat bottom steering wheel. I just picked up mine Thursday, and I haven't stopped smiling yet.
I too am not a big fan of black wheels. I plan on getting a set of these http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=292326 and powder coating them for an extra set with tires with better wear characteristics. Also here is a start up vid I just did today, gives you an idea how great this exhaust sounds. http://youtu.be/aLQup1vgaIs |

Depending on how much you wanted for them, I would be interested in buying the black rims for my winter set of tires!

Yes they are cast, they are not 10lbs or 15Lbs heavier though. Only about 3-4 lbs per the wheel manufacturer. I have no intention of selling my wheels. I plan to keep them and the Goodyears for track days and buy the reproduction wheels and put some Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires for driving around on the street.

If you like the style look at getting them powder coated. There's options.
And yes I suggest hanging onto the originals anyway.
