new garage for the camaro!

currently in the middle of getting our new garage built, 24x26. also going to be putting a lift in it so i don't have to work on my car in the drive way anymore. cant wait for it to be done so i dont have to park in a tent anymore.

post up some pictures of your garages, still looking for ideas on how to do the inside.

i dont know why the pictures are sideways... if anyone that knows how wants to fix that itd be appreciated

Looks nice, and obviously it's too late, but I would build it 26x32 minimum. That's what I built mine at and I could still use another 4' both ways. But it'll work with your measurements - you'll just wish you'd made it bigger.

trust me we tried to make it bigger but the town we live in is a bunch of bullsh*t. that was the biggest we were allowed and it took months of going back and forth with the town to finally be allowed to build. we also wanted to make a loft on top but that isnt alowed. sucks that you cant do what you want on your own property

Building codes and local ordinances can be a pain in the @$$! Sounds like you tried to work the variance angle as well. Garage will be a great addition--and the lift especially! Congrats--it looks like its coming along nicely. Love the ABM color!

On the lift for headers.

We have multiple stalls for tractors and equipment, now have all the steel for a 60'×90' barn with lift, just need to pour the slab sections. We expect to have some nice BBQs with our Camaro friends and neighbors.

Yeah... that sucks. I was fortunate when I built my garage - basically no restrictions. Still should have made it bigger but didn't want to dwarf the house. Someday I'll add a concrete pad and paved driveway.

Coming along nicely, I am just in the planing and zoning part of a new garage build my self. Hoping I can get the size I want but I am also dealing with land restrictions. I have 2.5 acres but its not very flat and house was put in a weird location on the lot and I have a vernal pool so that adds dealing with conservation so I have no idea what I will end up with. Just want to be able to store the boat and the toy car for the winter and yard stuff and maybe a future jeep wrangler crap maybe I need it bigger. As PalmerGA said they are never big enough.

Looking nice. I'm in the middle of raising the ceiling in mine to accommodate a lift. Mine is 30x30 and it is a tight fit for a lift big enough to handle the truck. One side is for auto work and the other side is a wood shop and place to park the tractor.

Cool, really like my garage and glad I did it. Mine is 24'x26' insulated metal building.

Looking good! I'm still in the process of removing stuff from my parents three-car garage to make room for my first car. Going to take my license test tomorrow!
