i know mostly every body has their favorite type of supercharger and brand and most of us dont even know why thats our favorite. my favorite is the whipple. i just like the way it looks and ive heard a lot about it. but is there a super charger that is known to be the best one. which one adds the most hp and torque?

I have 4 Maggie's, on my '01 silverado, '07 Escalade, '10 SS and '12 SS vert. I guess you can say I feel like its the best unit for street use.
All have additional mods for additional power, the Escalade and Vert are over 550 rwhp, the SS over 700. The Escalade and '10 SS have over 75k on them, no issues, just reliable power.

Whipple seems like a best of both worlds blower. But I love my combo now....cam, centri, gears, converter.

They all work when used in conjunction with the proper combination of components. Personally in my opinion the 2300 is best on 376/6.2 L motors. The whipple is probably better suited for larger cubes. I wouldn't know. I have a 2300 on a 427 and it does everything I've asked of it but if I wanted to get ridiculous it would run out of boost. The thing is reliable and worry free and that counts a lot to me. It produced numerous burnout at the Cruising the coast event .

If wanting 650ish rwhp, would you still take the 1.9L LSA blower as your first choice?

I would. It is hard to compete with the extensive engineering and testing gm does to build the best parts and components. Fit and function etc. The ZL1 record is now 9.85 on the fast list. With the 1.9 liter blower.

I'm guessing GM did more than a little extensive engineering and testing before they decided to use the 2.3L TVS blower vs the 1.9L version on the ZR1/LS9 motor.
