lowering springs w/mrc or coil overs?

Hello, Just got a ZL1 off ebay, still somewhere between Arkansas & PA. I lower every vehicle I get, and want to do the same w/ZL1. I dont know whether to keep the stock shocks and go with lowering coils or just replace mrc w/adjustable coil overs? I want max drop without rubbing, or without ruining something thats already good. I think being able to adj ride performance & height would be good, but I'm not sure the ZL1 can even be lowered more than an inch? Also wondering about the Pfadt track & street kits? If their is room for handling improvement without ruining the car, I'm all in. Just need some experienced input. Thanks!!

Drive it first and then make a decision.

You can definitely lower your ZL1. But as suggested above, drive it as-is for a while first, just to make sure this is something you actually want/need. You could use the BMR 1.4" springs without any issues. Personally, I would keep the magnetic ride shocks/struts since that is one of great features of the ZL1. With coilovers, you would have to completely disable the MRC system.

You'll want to stick with springs on the ZL1 as there are no coilovers that work with the MRC. Personally, I suggest sticking with springs in the 1" variety for the best handling and ride. Also keep in mind, that the ZL1 sits lower than the SS naturally, so 1" springs will really only lower the car 1/2"-3/4"

Best regards,
