Anyone have tips for more Horsepower

Hello everyone, I recently purchased a 1998 z28 that was completely stock.

Since I have installed a catback SLP Loudmouth Exhaust, and yesterday I installed a K&N FIPK Cold Air Intake.

I am trying to find out new ways to add horsepower to the car without spending a ton of money. Obviously I wish I could put cams and a supercharger or turbo charger in it but I just don't have the money to do so.

If anyone knows of any upgrades I can do to the car to get more torque and HP out of the car let me know.

Also keep in mind that I am currently stationed in California and half of the things are unfortunately illegal lol

Horsepower isn't free, I sure you know that already..If you're a Marine (thank you for your service) Im thinking you're not overweight.

Probably a lower gear will make the car feel faster….but you'll sacrifice mpg..

My car came with a trunk mat that i swear weighs 50 lbs…unload anything not required.

I am a Marine, thank you.

I just figured there might be some tiny parts here and there that would add a few HP here and there.

Not really worried about weight, just performance parts.

I decided to just say screw it and bought a camshaft for it.

Headers and a good stall if an auto will help a lot.

Many moons ago when I had my 98 Z I ported out my stock MAF sensor and pulled the screen out. It's free and seemed to help it breathe a bit better. Might have unlocked up to 5 HP
