I think he likes it . . .

That was probably the most informative video about the V6 that I've seen so far

LOL! Great video, I think that was the best video of the Camaro I've ever seen.

First off, thanks to everyone at Camaro 5 for the positive comments. You guys reflect well on the Camaro enthusiast community.

I'll see if I can do a adequate job shedding light on your questions and comments

-MadHatter: I believe Doug Houlihan misspoke there. The paddle shifters work just like you'd expect. You can control shifts both up and down. In fact I don't think it made it to the video but Doug mentioned later that the auto tranny won't upshift automatically at red line. Shows that Chevy trusts us to shift the Camaro ourselves.

-Vash: You're dead right about the styling of the C-pillar but it really does require extra attention from the driver. There was a moment where I was nosed in toward the curb, and when backing up couldn't see approaching traffic at all. Just something to be aware of. Also, regarding lower back support, I usually notice when seats offer too much or too little support. I was never uncomfortable, even after several hours of driving so I think the Camaro's seats should be just fine.

-Alleykt: The Jalopnik guys showed up in the morning but we were there in the afternoon. The GM PR guy from the video mentioned that "some guys" had shown up for a picture with the Stang and Challenger. He didn't seem terribly pleased with the whole experience

-drivingincamaro: Yes, I am indeed a lucky SOB. Forward visibility is a non issue compared to rear vis. Doug Houlihan said they wanted a better view of the road compared to what they got but to retain the shape of the roofline they had to lower the seats which means much of the forward view is filled with the hood. Honestly, I think looking out over the hood of the sweet-ass Camaro you're driving is cool. I wouldn't change a thing.

Sorry for the lengthy post. If there's any other questions I can help answer let me know.

Micah

Not as funny as the look they will look at you when you tell them about your intended paint job.

That would be a great marketing ploy at the dealer, put fake wire "cages" around them, with a huge sign/banner in front that says "Adopt a Camaro Day!"

drivingincamaro,

To answer your question KBB camera dude Mike Delano says "My license says 5' 10" but I'm closer to 5' 11". The back seat wasn't roomy, my head touched the roof and my legs touched the back of the seat but its roomier than my MINI Cooper."

Well, that's not saying much. Who cares? Which F-Body ever was somewhat roomy in the back? It adds to their charm.
