It's also missing respect from some ZL1 owners....

When you are in the same family it's better to be respected, but in terms if the competition it's better to be feared. The Z/28 and ZL1 should not, in my opinion, be competitors. Two cars in the same family with different target buyers in mind.

Just fyi, I had put up a thread in the ZL1 forum a while back....was wondering why more ZL1 guys weren't over here sticking up for their car, so to speak...lol
....All the posts came back that the Z/28 is not a "threat"....they are all positive about the Z/28 and hope it does well, even if it "out-performs" their ZL1s at the track....and they expect it will....It's a non-issue as to whether or not they are happy with their ZL1s... They know the differences, and are quite content to have an awesome, comfortable, more street-friendly ZL1... The "respect" for the Z/28 is there, and they all feared nothing from the Z/28... ...just sayin'....disrespecting, or a "rivalry" between the two is in my opinion, and from what I got from ZL1 owners, pretty childish overall... |

I myself have no ill towards the ZL1, it's a "great car". I prefer a trackable "sports" car over a GT. The Z/28 is more than I ever dreamed it would or should be...it's quite amazing what they've done.

The Z/28 is sparking interest in a whole new crop of buyers who perhaps wouldn't have considered any other current model Camaro before, or who have never owned one...Only the Z/28 has a certain attraction to the Camaro for some...all good... |
