Spoke with autospatech today, they wont sell individual parts only complete systems. He wanted 1500 for package. I stated that I already have the head unit and screen. He says the unit needs to reprogrammed by dealer. He offered me a system for 1200 that needs to be programmed by dealer. Just sharing some info

How about buying the my link shell and drop in an 8" alpine.

Mylink shell would be ugly unless it was redesigned without the side buttons. But I guess if one were to paint or hydrocoat the shell then it would look ok. Also the two knobs would have to be removed or converted into amp buttons such as on/off and the other a bass knob. But thats dreaming right now

If your heads up display currently shows radio information, then it will work with the new system as well.

Yes, they both work on the GMlan, so they all talk the same LAN.

I don't have the PDIM so therefore no USB/Bluetooth , no steering wheel controls either,and no Bluetooth onstar. All of these I'd like to add but unsure if I should do it pre-mylink.

You will need to add the steering wheel controls for it to work the right way.

You will only need to pull out the center console, glove box and XM box cover under the glove box, so you can get to the XM box.

And it will be less then $1800 by at lest 25%.

Im better off buying new car that has it. my payment stay close and u get the value of the new car having this.

Its a 3 hr job if you do it the way we say and any one that can turn a screwdriver can do this, its as hard as doing a new bumper.

Your has 2 of the 3 new wires we dont have in the 2010 but still the same.

Guys i pulled my back out before CF4 that is why i did not go, so we are not working on the car, but we are working on the parts to have it ready to go, ones we do the install, it may be 30 more days till we get to it, but we will do it, thanks for your understanding.

One minor question for you. Will you offer the frameless mirror as part of the kit too? I figure since you're putting mylink in to the car, and can tell the camera to go down there, wouldn't we be able to just easily install the frameless mirror also?

We sale the mirror now, but that will be a good idea, we can add it as an option.

Ofer, looked at your site and it doesn't list a 2012 camaro option for the frameless mirror. Any reason why? I just want to make sure its compatible. I"m assuming you did that because we have the backup camera, but since its being moved down, i will be able to use it, right?

In the new my link the camera signal (2012 car only) will get piked up at the dome light harness, and from there to the head unit, i need to make a harness for the framless on a 2012 car.

Ah ok, so for now you can't put the frameless into a 2012? Will that cause an issue with getting the display to show up in the mylink screen?

Any chance you'll have that together shortly down the road? I'd love to buy one kit and put everything in at once, especially with PA winter coming in about 2 months and I will need projects!
