fbod i'm not a friend of a friend of a friend. i've been saved in multiple accidents by not wearing a seat belt. it does happen. its hit or miss on whether you walk away with your life or not. having a seat belt on is NOT always safer, i repeat it is NOT always safer. though illegal to not wear, it doesn't always mean you will live. also my friend who was not belted while 2 other girls in the car were walked away after getting ejected from the vehicle. the 2 girls in the car died on impact. there is a million stories that can easily be applied to saving a life by not wearing a seat belt as wearing it

my friend just buckles his seat belt and wraps it behind his headrest, then flips it over his head when avoiding tickets

Be it known, this should be a contender for post of the year.

I spent 6 months in a hospital learning to read, write, walk, and talk again because of a car accident, and I was wearing my seat belt. If you want to be an idiot and drive without your belt on, then enjoy being a burden on your family and learn to love getting your food through a tube. You won't be as lucky as I was.

*My only disclaimer is if you're putting a racing harness in then I understand the desire to turn off the chime.

Disconnect the connector at the base of the driver's seat belt buckle. That should do it. If not, short the pins together permanently (dark blue and tan/white wires).

I can't remember if it's a normally open or normally closed switch. One of these solutions will work.

I don't condone not wearing seat belts, but I can see a few legitimate reasons for doing it. Ford actually provides instructions on disabling the warning for their cars, or at least they used to.
