Borla
Ok Gentlemen, Looks like i have narrowed my exhaust choice down to Borla S Type.....with the help from my 10 yr old son LOL. My only question is should I go with the 2 1/2" or 3" ? I remember reading in here something about it and I was wondering if it was worth it considering I will only be doing exhaust and CAI. Someone told me the 3" is only if you have done more extreme modifications. Specs say 20 hp gain on the 2 1/2" and 25 on the 3". Can I actually expect to see this? Next major crisis.....deciding on the CAI. Final thing.......fuse pull on LS3???????????
Thanks |

3" is nice for sound, but don't expect any gains unless you add headers. You get your exhaust benefits from the headers. A Cold Air Inductions CAI adds 13 rwhp and is a nice add, i love mine. Fuse pull on LS3 unecessary.

If your only doing exhaust and intake then 2.5 inch is all you need. As for intake, I would recommend either ADM "street" or CAI Inc. for your application. The fuse pull is for the L99, just disconnect the battery overnight for the LS3.

until you go Forced induction or at the very least (long tube headers), you won't be needing 3".

Won't see close to those gains. Probably more around 5rwhp.
