CAMARO NEWS

(from GMInsider)

"A GM insider confirmed for us that the company is hard at work now on a substantially reworked interior for the Camaro that will appear for the 2012 model year. He couldn't/wouldn't list all of the changes, but did mention that most of the upgrading work will go into the dash and specifically that big expanse of blackness in front of the passenger.

Also new for the 2012 will be a little something called the Camaro Z28. Perhaps you've heard of it once (or a million times) before. Why wait until the 2012 model year? Our source says so it doesn't step on the toes to the convertible which will be the Camaro's "big news for 2011." "

Personally I think they got the Z28 and the SS backwards. Really conflicts with the 4th Generation anyway.

Kudos on the interior redo.

4th gen conflicted w/ the 1st gen, so we're back to the original formula.

BINGO!! I am old school I guess but the Camaros history show the "Z" is top o line. Its just the 4th gens that confused it.

I could care less about the interior critics. I like it. I will be happy with it. Of course GM does have to care about what the critics say, because if they don't then they'll be going down the same path the big 3 did that got them into trouble.

Actually the SS was the top dog with the 1st Generation. Do some research.

Big block Camaro SS cars were doing high 11 quarter miles with just aftermarket headers and slicks. The 302 Z/28 came nowhere close.

So, the 1st and 4th Generation both had the SS at the top of the line. Not sure what history you guys are reading though.
