I ended up ordering the equivalent lap joint bands as well, i figure i can return the others if i don't use them. I was pretty much assuming the same thing, they should work but might have a greater possibility of causing a leak.

I installed this system over the weekend. Were you able to get the exhaust aligned good
enough that it didn't rub or rattle at all? I am going to get the better band clamps and realign this weekend.

No we did not have any problems with aligning the system.
We did shim around the rear differential before we tightened all the joints and once everything was tightened we removed the shims. If you look at my review I think yo can see some shims we used made of wood.

SOPMOD...OUT!

Will this setup pass emissions? Or is that a silly question? Doesnt seem like people bring this up in exhaust discussions.... Live in PA

Very nice write up! I noticed on the dyno graph that the base line pull had some spark retard from about 4800 rpms on out, so im guessing the gains would not have been as much if the car didnt pull timing on that base run. Also would you have a print out of the numbers in SAE correction?

Wow! I have been listening to clips and searching for exhausts all weekend and this is incredible That takeoff clip makes the Camaro sound like such a mean beast! I am SERIOUSLY weighing into this as my option for the best sound, price, hp. I was curious as to how these numbers compared to other full exhaust systems at a higher price though?? Also, were the HP numbers WITH a tune or just after the system was slapped on? I am nervous about doing a tune as my SS only has 340 miles on it and I know that will void the warranty right away...

Finally got the system installed with a set of high-flow Thunderbolt cats. Really like how everything turned out. There is some drone but it's manageable. Power increase definitely noticeable. Sound at WOT worth every penny.

Sounds awesome -

A friend and I pulled my exhaust system off last weekend so that I could install mine. Right now both systems are sitting on my garage floor. I hope to install the XS Power system in it this weekend with a pair of MagnaFlow cats. I'm just waiting on my 3" band clamps to put the cats in place.

Well here is my mess. I have both systems taking up one of my parking spots inside.

It's really not that bad, I just have too many projects going on at this time. I could have been done with it the same day.
