Matt Bell and John Edwards won the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge race in the Stevenson GSR Camaro today at Road Atlanta. It will be televised NEXT weekend on Speed.
The race CURRENTLY on Speed is the Rolex Series race. The Stevenson GTR Camaro is not doing too shabby (currently top 5), but there's still about an hour to go.

We had a Camaro Corral there and saw both wins! It was a great day out and really enjoyed meeting some new members, some fellow Camaro owners from TN & SC. Got Hot Passes and we all had a fast lap around Road Atlanta in the ZL1 or 1LE driven by a Rolex series driver.

Camaro Corral @ Road Atlanta
ACE5 just had their first Camaro Corral at the first Grand AM Series Race at Road Atlanta. We had 25 Camaros, and about 40 people at the corral. It was an awesome event, and as already listed, the Stevenson Race Team won both races in their class!
Wanted to thank Road Atlanta, Grand Am, and Chevy Racing for all of the Corral specials. Combined they put together reserved infield parking, parade laps, a meet and greet with Stevenson Team Manager Mike Johnson, 25 (yep 25!) hot lap passes in a Camaro 1LE and ZL1 (pace car)driven by Team Chevy Rolex Series race drivers, and obviously an awesome race. It is really something that Mike Johnson would take the time to meet with us, show us the Rolex Camaro, and answer all of our questions right after the final practice and about an hour before the Continental tire Series Race was starting. Also unreal that the Rolex drivers were giving us hot laps starting at 3:15 pm with the race starting at 4:30p. I also want to highlight Pfadt, Adams, MTI Racing, Atlanta Auto Salon, and Maxie Price Chevrolet for providing us with gifts to give to all those who participated in the Corral. It was simply a fantastic event that, if given the opportunity, I strongly suggest everyone take advantage. Our main thread is in the Southeast Forum section, and there should be some pictures uploaded there in the next day or two. |
