Who is in the open beta starting on 5/3?

I was lucky enough to be in the closed beta and the biggest compliment I could pay it is that I was never an FPS player and I love it. It's very fun! Maybe because it's team based and the characters have roles which is similar to World Of Warcraft in a way. If you know anyone who pre-ordered they got a guest game key along with thiers. Hit them up!

When you get it set up maybe we can party up and play some games together. It's super addicting and it's fun to try different characters. It's actually encouraged to switch to fill a need or counter another character on the other team.

I play on PC but it's cool they have it for consoles. It's not cross platform though so you are only playing other console players and me other PC players.

They do have it for PC. You can pre-order now. If you do you get early access to the open beta and I believe a few days early access to live later this month.

It's not cross platform yet. I imagine it will eventually gain this feature. Sony has had this ability open for a while and Microsoft finally opened this ability for their home console. I don't mind who I am playing whether it is console or PC players. They are all the same at the end of the day. I switched to console gaming because it is easier and cheaper than PC gaming. I keep a very basic laptop now for basic needs. Used to like having a powerful machine.

I don't mind who I'm playing either and I like both platforms. I think if you don't have the option of a mouse on the PS I think the PC players would have an unfair advantage versus a game controller though. I can't say for sure because I've never tried the PS4 version but I think that may be why you won't see it cross from PC to consoles. Console to console I totally see that and I've read Microsoft and Sony are already working towards that on some games which is cool.

Tried it out last night. It's accessible, the maps mostly push you to place the objective (a good thing), and had zero server issues or crashes. Pretty solid beta. It's also very Team Fortress-esque, which is another game I really enjoyed, so it's relatable.

I can see a few of the characters as being particularly powerful though, and that problem was compounded when friends grouped up and played the same character. Had a match with 3 Reapers and it was unbearable. Couple of matches with a pair of the tank/turret one (can't remember the name) on defense as well. It was impossible for a group of random players to get through that.

Other than that, I'm seriously considering purchasing the game.

Never played Team Fortress but I've heard the comparisons a lot. You have to give it time for people to learn what characters counter which. That's why you can switch during the game. I've been playing since the closed beta. For example Reaper and Tracer are good counters for Torbjorn's turrets or Bastion. Reaper has to hit from close up so snipers are a good counter for him ECT.

My Pre-order from Best Buy says it will arrive Monday (5/23). Read online they are giving those who pre-ordered day early access.

I believe what it said is that you get the game early yes, but the servers won't be live until the next day.

Correct. Read more about it after posting. Some retailers are participating in this by giving day early access so users can pre-load like digital counterparts.

I got to play the PC closed and open beta. Such a fun game. I got spoiled, this break til launch sucks lol
