The difference is guys like Yenko made their own name by what they where doing with cars. This dealer is using a name that is trademarked by GM and he really has no right to put it on a car and sell it. I'd be surprised if that dealer doesn't get into trouble for using that name.

Are you sure it wasn't a Z/38

You are missing a few things. Yenko, Balwin, etc. were not slapping GM's emblems on a Camaro and calling it that, they were Yenko versions, Baldwin versions, etc. If this dealer in SC wants to do this, call it a special version by "dealer name", not call it a Z/28. What this dealer is doing is totally wrong, unethical, and unlawful. I for one would hope that the dealer will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the applicable laws.

Those were custom dealer versions of the Camaro. Not fake production Z/28s the dealer is using to rip people off.

The VIN, build sheet and proof documents will not show it as a GM Z/28 so aside from the emblems, it's just a stage 1 intake and exhaust package probably using the GM Performance parts for that to boot. I'd love to see the window sticker and supplemental package options sticker and how they state Z/28. They shouldn't use the Z/28 emblems or RPO code on anything. If they do, it would be on the deceptive side. Same way I feel clone cars are deceptive. It is buyer beware though.

Scroll down to the 1ss camaro. Used 2011 orange with about 10,000 miles on it. Check out all 24 photos. Also, I didn't buy my 2010 Camaro from this dealer. It just happens to be the closest one to where I live.

That is a used Camaro that the previous owner put some Z/28 emblems on. What led you to believe this was a dealer installed option?

The salesman told me they added it at the dealer and that all the work was under warranty.
