ss front bumper

so just talked to my dealership and they were just a waste of time. i just wanted to know if the ss bumper will fit on the lt and how much and if it is also true that its cheaper to just buy a new bumper and paint it or just repaint the old one.

Yes it will fit on the LT, as far as being cheaper you would have to call a few body shops for a quote on how much it would be for a paint job and compare their quote with the cost of a new front clip.

gmpartsdirect shows the Part # for the SS front clip as 92236547 $241.36

You can post on here wanting to trade with someone with a SS Camaro of the same color, some people with the SS like the V6 cover better..You may be able to swap with someone and both be happy for free, or just the cost of meeting up to do the swap.. It should only take about an hour and a half per car, and if you both work at the same time it shouldn't take that long.

yeah but it sucks cause the reason im getting a new one is because the old one has rock chips in it. and the body shop said its cheaper just to buy a new bumper but if its not that wouldnt be a bad idea if someone would trade i would just give him money to repaint it unless theres is beat up too.

Here you go it can be done total cost for the job (Bumper, grilles, and paint almost $700 when it was all said and done)

Remember if you order the bumper from GMPartsdirect.com they only eliver to the local Fed Ex hub plus you need to all $120 for shipping from GMPartsdirect.com for the bumper. I ended up ordering my SS bumper from my local dealership is for a few $$ more and did not have to worry about picking it up.

See my thread below for the SS bumper installed on my Black 2LT/RS
