Depends what you like. Do you want to shoot off a lot of rounds or take precision shots? Also money is largely a factor.

Shoot off a lot of rounds. I'm not really looking to be a marksman. Just weekend fun or home defense. I know there are 1000's upon 1000's of ar15 variants, but I was looking into something else. Maybe in the $1000 range. I just got back into firearms after a 20 year layoff so I'm looking to get back into it.

223/5.53 will be pretty cheap ammo wise. I had a Remington 700BDL 22-250 that was an awesome plinking/deer gun. I also had a 1953 Russian SKS was an awesome gun to just pop off rounds... ammo wasn't too bad either.

I was looking into a mini 14. Forgot all about this rifle. Had one back in the day and it wasn't a bad gun.

Stop by and see Ken at Guns Plus, they have a decent selection you can handle, a little high on prices but will give you some good options and usually work with you a little.

Put 50 rounds through an M&P 9mm the other day. I think I'm in love but concealing a full size might be iffy.

There hasn't been many picture updates, so I'll add my own. My current bullpup collection: FS2000, PS90 w/FiveseveN, UTS-15, Steyr AUG A1.

I would also recommend some of his training classes, for people that have been away from the sport for awhile, but especially the know it alls you run into out in the desert or just walking down the street. Not saying you are one of them of course.

You are also always welcome to join us on Thursday nights at Ben Avery, practice matches for USPSA. I would take some classes first though, the guys get kind of intense so having a very very good understanding of firearm safety is paramount, no matter where you shoot really.

Wow that's cool. I'd probably just be a spectator the first time though. Just to get the feel of the place.

Pistol grip stock on my 870. Not sure if I want to attempt to camo the stock now or just leave it. Kinda leaning towards leaving it.

With the right holster, won't be a problem. I EDC a full size 1911 in a Milt Spark IWB holster
