Issues with heated steering wheel & Stripes

Picked up a 2016 2SS yesterday. I noticed before taking delivery that several of the factory applied stripes had bubbles, scratches from being applied too hard, and two of them were peeling already. The dealer agreed to replace them.

Then today, I tried to use the heated steering wheel and it isn't working. The light doesn't come on and it doesn't heat up. I checked the fuse and it was fine.

Anyone else have issues with either the heated steering wheel or stripes on their new Camaro? They both will be warranty issues, but given all the holds for quality control, I expected a bit better review of these type of things before leaving the factory. Still a great driving car and a much improved experience from my last 5th Gen.

Thanks!
Jason

Good to know the stripe will be easy to get off mine if I don't like it

The rally stripes are not on the roof regardless of of you have a sunroof or not

I remember folks taking pics of cars sitting in Gm lots with stripes already on them.
But I think dealer can put on too.

Does something else also have to be on for heated wheel or is it completely separate?

I know in my honda the side mirror heaters only work if mirror selector is in middle position.

Anyway...just a thought. What does manual say?

If you order them When you order your car, they are put on at the factory. I believe you can purchase them after the fact and have hem installed by the dealer if you want to.

I do have a sunroof on mine. No stripes on the roof. They are applied by GM after the car is built, but before it is shipped to the dealer. Dealers can buy the kit from GM and apply them also. Most dealers outsource stripes to 3rd party installers or their body shop staff. My replacement stripes will be applied by a 3rd party, which is fine with me. All they usually do is stripes, so they should be decent at it.. Let's hope anyway.

Good thought.. I had checked the manual though. You are supposed to just hit the button and it lights up an indicator next to the button. Mine does nothing.

I just don't know why people are getting stickers on their car. You want stripes and you want them done right? One word, PAINT.

Tastes and trends change. I for one will be happy to do a high quality a/m vinyl stripe on mine so I can easily remove it in the future if I want. Both have their pros and cons.

My heated seats work, but they are no where near as good as the seats in my 2014.
