2010 Camaro SS vs. Pontiac g8

Is the g8 the gxp or the gt? Either way those are some pretty extensive mods for the g8, a drivers race for sure, I'd say advantage to the g8 tho however slight.

yeah my friend in my club has a g8 gt and its mean as hell!!!!!! he has a lot of mods but no cam. he took out a stock ss. since the g8 has a cam ill bet on the g8.

The LS3 with those mods should take a cammed G8 GT. Depending on the cam, most likely it makes a little over 400rwhp. The Camaro should make about the same with LT's, but weighs about 200 lbs. less. A close race, but the SS should come out on top.

But Let me tell you this though, the G8 was leaving work one day and another co-worker who has a 600cc Honda scooter raced up the street and the G8 couldn't pass the scooter. And the G8 was really trying hard.

Its a mild cam I have heard it, it has a nice little lope to it, but doesn't sound mean

The G8 with mods will probably have the edge on the track.........but not in the looks department!! I never liked the looks of those cars, although they were impressive numbers cars.

You can make a rust bucket go fast, but it ain't easy being fast and pretty!!

the g8 better have good tires if not the camaro will win. like i said my friend g8 took down a stock camaro just with headers, intake, tune/tranny tune, and exhaust. ive seen him take down c5 corvettes on the freeway. but when his tires go bad he cant grip for shit.

We just tuned a 09 GXP
It has 2 mods, A VARARAM AND OUR TUNING
It just ran 12.42@113 at Cecil yesterday on street tires

These GXP's are no joke....

Muscle car vs. pony car! i'd put my money on the GT, that engine is basically a 6.0 LS3 (i know it's NOT an LS3) being that it has the same heads and intake manifold, just a tiny bit less displacement.

basically, would a cammed/LT/exhaust/tune L99 Camaro + 50-100 lbs. beat an LS3 Camaro with same mods minus cam? I would most certainly think so.

and it makes virtually no difference whether or not it was a GXP or a GT prior to the mods, other than it might be a manual transmission.
