Junkman, you rock.......... check this out (flash test pics)

Ok. Due to my finger being recently broken I could only do one panel, but wow, this realy works.

Saw Junkman at the fest. I bought the Porter Cable and all the Adams pads and polishes and towels and........ yada yada..........

Used it on my hood on one half but the vibration of the polisher was too much for my broken and cut up finger but I did get half of the hood done. Even the scratch you see here was completely gone. I can't wait to see the rest when I get a chance to do it. Thank you AJ, this is awesome.

Whatever you do, don't stick your finger in the spinning end of that porter cable!

awesome work PQ! I wonder if you could get the same results by hand. I am in the works of ordering Adams SHR and RP to works out swirls that weren't inflicted by me. I dont have the confidence for the PC right now.

I'm guessing I'll have to do a lot by hand becuase of the cars curves. Not sure though.

You could get the 4" spot buffing pad kit. I have it and actually used the spot pads to do my whole car.

Quick tip, if you have a perpendicular surface that you need to polish, either prime the edge of the pad or put a piece of 2" masking tape down.

Here is some pictures that Todd Cooperider from Esoteric Detail posted. As it is easier to explain with pictures.

Also as for priming the side of the pad, put a small amount of polish on with your finger smear it around the edge, you don't need a lot.

Here is my explanation on taping the perp. edges.

Polishing the horizontal surface while protecting the vertical surface:

Now polishing the vertical surface while protecting the horizontal surface.

Great job PQ! I also recently converted to Adam's. I think Adam puts something in that Detail Spray that I'm addicted to.

Tell me about it. I got a bottle with my porter cable. After using it while drying my car I had to have more, so I ended up ordering a gallong jug.
