i thought the same until the recent pics and video of the CGM and IBM mules running around in daylight and boy do those look amazing

I do like IBM a lot, but I don't think there is enough contrast between IBM and the black CF hood insert. If Chevrolet would offer the CF hood insert in white, I might choose IBM with a white hood insert and stripe.

Sorry to break it to you but.........

Carbon Flash Metallic was part of the 45th anniversary package, but Chevrolet decided to make one exception and paint this 2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 in that color.

In essence, CFM is 2012-only color and will NOT be available on 2013 Chevrolet Camaros as far as we know.

At least I hope they don't repeat the Synergy Green situation again, if you know what I mean......

Looks nice though. I hope to get my hands on a ZL1 once they release one in a stunning blue. To be honest, that's my secret plan. Don't tell my wife. If they release a ZL1 with a blue that I love, I will probably make it a serious goal to get one.

i will be tuned in! and just lastnight the wife told me i could trade for the ZL1 and i have been pondering a choice of color all day,i actually considered the corbon flash and or the new grey, depending on what it is,....but.......i bet the new crystal red is gonna be the hot new seller in any trim of the camaro,i do like my IOM though, but i keep thinking of the crystal red,the way the sun beams off the body lines now that crystal is gonna look very good, the color is currently on Cadillac's,

IOM would be a good choice, but I already have an orange car. I'd really like to see the ZL1 in Crystal Red Tintcoat, because with the black CF hood I think that's the color that I'm going to order, assuming it's available when production starts, that is.

I completely agree. While I'm a blue-person, and that's why I'm really hoping for something like IBM, I really like CF, because it's dark enough for me, but not black, where all the curves would be lost because of the metal flake and pearl. I think this is going to be an absolutely BRILLIANT color in the sun, with a freshly-clay-bared-and-waxed finish. The blue has just enough pearl in it that I think it enhances the curves a bit, but it's just not quite enough (enough for me to really love though). I'm not interested in a flat onyx black, though, for the reasons I just stated, and that leads me to CF. I'm not a really metallic-person, however, I've just loved this color from the start.

At first, I didn't know that I liked how I couldn't really see the extractor with IBM, but I remembered when I first saw it how much it stood out, and that I wasn't sure it'd grow on me. Well, it did after looking at it for another two seconds, and I thought I might not like the matte finish on the extractor, with IBM, or another dark color, it kinda' disappears into the body color, which I really like for the stealthy look. Sometimes, I think I'd like to announce it's ZL1, and sometime I wouldn't care. I guess I'm just thinking too much about it, LOL.

Would not be surprised at all if this is a Camaro-wide color in '13. There is nothing special about CFM, its available now on many GM cars and trucks. Just limited to 45th edition Camaros for '12. At least Synergy Green was only available on a Camaro.

I got $275,000 at auction. The new 2012 Boss 302 Laguna Seca in grabber blue which was only available in that one unit went for $450,000 at the last Barrett-Jackson auction and the 1st Honor and Valor Camaro went for $100,000, so I'm expecting in between $300,000-$200,000 but no more than that. If I get the number right, the moderators should owe me a Coca-Cola at C5Fest III next year.
