Typical Opel keyboard on that center stack.

Puzzled by the grille.

It's a great top system.

How much will be the key. A Verano can go $30,000 and this is essentially a Verano Convertible albeit a much sleeker looking one.

It isn't an A5 competitor so I hope it isn't priced like one.

1.6T + CAI + Tune = decent zip

Even at stock gotta guess 6.5 sec 0-60 ? Assuming around 3,000lbs curb, but that might be expecting too much from Buick.

Beautiful car! Most likely will have a waterfall grille for production?

It's just wrong wheel drive though...

The center stack does look cluttered, but overall I like it. It should take some sales away from European manufacturers.

Lots of reviews from European automotive press. One suggests even the new Audi A3 convertible remains more fun to drive but that car is fairly heavy.

I always liked the G6 verts.(I wouldn't buy one, but I liked the styling)

This looks like a knockoff version.

I don't get the picnic basket in the back seat that screams, "Hey kids, its 1948" however.

ok, so

Toyota discontinues the Solara because of soft sales

Chrysler discontinues the 200/Sebring Convertible because of soft sales

Volkswagen discontinues the EOS because of soft sales

Mitsubishi discontinues the eclipse convertible (spyder) because of soft sales

I could go on because there are several others, but you get my point.

Front wheel drive coupe convertibles have been a massive failure in the automotive industry for the past decade, all the manufacturers that have produced them have only ever really sold them in quantity at a fleet level to car rental companies, look it up if you don't believe me.

Why then would GM release a vehicle that historically is doomed to fail, and why would they do it after everyone else has exited this market..

Typical GM, they don't pay attention to the current demand, but rather bring up the rear with designs and options that everyone else has had for the past 5 years..

It's getting a little tiresome. I have always owned and loved GM cars, but for the past decade I don't see them making any strides in keeping up with the market, they seem to continually be "behind the 8 ball" with every decision they make.

They continue to lose sales to imports by not offering equal level amenities in their vehicles and over pricing those vehicles with less options and subpar quality compared to their competition.

I just don't get it..

You had me up to that point...

GM isn't an industry leader, breaking new ground with their vehicles, but they are most definitely solid middle of the pack contenders in price/performance/amenities. I've been on the market three times in 4-5 years, and Chevy was always on my radar due to the "what you get for your dollar" ratio compared to other comparable models from other companies. I ended up buying a Chevy three times, in large part, due to this.

The market is very tight with most like-equipped vehicles selling within the same ballpark in price and having narrow differences in reliability, etc. In other words - there's a lot of good cars o nthe market by all major manufacturers. It really boils down to preference.
