New forum Member intro.
Hello,
I've been lurking the forum for a while now and thought I'd go ahead and register to say HI.. and to get my buildbench order # status checked. I've recently ordered a 2010/2LT/RS/automatic with sunroof in CGM color w black interior with no stripes. I was going for a "quiet power" look. I didn't want flashy... not that there's anything wrong with flash.. but just isn't me. I figure I can just as easily get a speeding ticket with the 6 cylinder while saving some money on the car, gas and insurance vs the SS. This will be my daily drive. I consisdered holding out for a 2011 but didn't think I could have handled the waiting. The unknown pricing didn't help either and the HUD just wasn't enough incentive to get me to wait. I've always regretted having to leave my '68 Camaro behind when I moved out of state over 25 yrs ago. So now I'm making up for it. My old '68 wasn't much... faded white with red trunk/hood stripes, original straight 6, supersports and slotted mags all the way around and a Hurst 4speed shift. I remember the lack of power steering made turning the wheels, with the little rally steering wheel, quite the workout unless you were moving. Sitting right next to the blue 2LT I test drove was a new 2010 white with red stripes. If I squinted a lot I could almost mistake it for my old one. So if you see a CGM 2LT/RS cruising around Tampa Bay area in about a month or so, Gimme a honk and a wave... I respond in kind. Thanks for your time and attention. |

DewMan, Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in them...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's and wive's here don't care....and take it easy.
oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!!

I'm already wearing a drool bib in anticipation. I felt naked so I added a pix to my profile. I just lined up a buyer for what would have been my trade in. It's been a good day. |
