Hmm, lets see. You can get to work, download the pdf file (which depending on your job may not let you), you can google it. Or hey, here is a thought, come onto C5 and ask this question and get a quick answer to your question. But, instead of a just a quick answer to your question, you get a bunch of replies telling you to google it, or read the manual!!! This Forum is supposed to be full of helpful, friendly people, but usually the help you get on this forum is "use the search feature"!!! I still don't understand it.

With that being said.....Op, I think I am going to now start using the term "RPM Gauge" for tachymeter........

He got the correct answer. I gave it to him in the first reply. It's not getting the right answer that makes you scratch your head around here, it's wading through all the superfluous BS. So the solution is to ask your question, get the answer, and then ignore everything else.

Also, if you have a smart phone, you should download the myChevrolet app. It has the Owners Manual for every Chevy. For the camaro, it has a summary of all the lights and indicators, e.g.,

If you have a smart phone, go to the app store and install an app called MyChevrolet and input your car and VIN number and it will tell you everything you need to know about your car and it has a page with lights that light up, what they mean and how to turn them off.

Same thing happened to me one day on my way home from work, I almost called the dealer to bring it in for service (the car was like a week or so old at the time), first I figured I check the manual and see what the symbol meant, figuring it had to do with some sort of engine malfunction. Boy was I glad I didn't make that call.
