That design is pretty standard, I can't see why a tune would be required. But, I'd only be willing to risk it for about half that money.

Risk? You decide if you put a tune on or not. If you intend to do a tune as well then it is irrelevant. I'm not trying to appease the masses.

On their website I believe they state this is a LS3 only intake. Is this true?

No it's not true. NO ONE makes a different CAI for the LS3 vs the L99. Both intakes are identical from the factory.

Time to necro this and offer it back up for sale, this has a 102mm MAF areas and may require a tune due to ltfts (I did not personally require a tune) another note the MAF block adhesive came loose and I had to improvise at the track so there is some black goop holding it on (can't remember the name of the stuff) but there are no air leaks - I will post a picture when I get time but just throwing this up for now.

What's the price now? I would love the CF version for the increased size alone. Just hard to swallow the price.

The drag strip is like sniffing glue, it's cheap, it's a decent buzz, it doesn't last long and they are all the same.
Road racing is like China White Heroin, the buzz is stronger, the high lasts for hours, it's extremely addictive and they are all different.
I can't wait for my next
Track fix.
