Pioneer AVIC Z140BH Bluetooth issue with iPhone 4s
We just recently installed this unit and I'm having issues connecting my iPhone. It pairs through the registration process just fine, shows my iPhone there and shows it paired on my iPhone. However, when I go to play something like Pandora, it says that it is now disconnected, I hit connect and it shows the same message. I have "forgot" and repaired plenty of times. I cannot stream audio either. Has anyone else had this issue?

I couldnt understand exactly from the post what you were trying, but you cannot use the Pandora app on the radio over bluetooth. The phone has to be connected to the special pioneer iphone cable. As far as streaming audio, once on the bluetooth audio screen on the radio, I almost always have to press the connect button (or link I guess you could call it) on the right hand side near the album art space, and thats even when the phone was already connected.

I just think it's odd that Pandora would show up there with an option to "connect" via BT if there was no support for Pandora over BT. You can play Pandora on the iPhone and have it come through the BT Audio source, and it shows artist info, but you can't control the tracks or station through the radio it seems, only through the iPhone.

^^^ ya you can stream any audio your phone is playing through the bluetooth, but for full control of pandora on screen it needs to be done with the cable. If youre concerned with sound quality, plugging in your source vs. just streaming over bluetooth is vastly superior, I really cant stand to listen over bluetooth now that I know how good it sounds when connected with the line level input.
edit: forgot to ask, where did you put your cable? I routed mine back into the center console and made a foam holder for my iphone so it was easier to connect/disconnect everytime I get in the car vs. having it in the glovebox... any better ideas? I'll post a picture later if my description sucked. |

of course everyone says this, but this really does look better in person. the blacks match up nicely and it looks pretty good. crappy pictures in my garage. I had to take the pictures with my iphone, so I used an ipod classic in place to show where it sits.

I generally prefer a more subtle look. You have the right idea, I just want to keep mine concealed for the most part, it'll keep me off my phone while I'm driving and keep the car looking "clean."
Since you have same model year and trim, what else have you done with your 1LT?

I have the same radio and the same problem. I have my apps set to Bluetooth and when u try to connect to pandora is says the Bluetooth is disconnected. I don't understand why it would give you the option to Bluetooth apps (pandora, aha) and it not work. But It works thru Bluetooth audio, just can't access the stations from the radio. Only switch to the next song. Besides that, I like the radio
