Finally Decided to Join

Hello, I've been checking this site out for a while and I finally decided to join up. I'm from the Pittsburgh area (home of the 6 time Super Bowl Champs...sorry, had to get that in) and I've been debating the purchase of a new Camaro.

So ever since I was a little kid, I wanted a new Camaro when I got older. When I was in college I bought a 1992 z28 5 spd which is a great car to drive, but I want a new 1SS. I was wondering if there were any opinions if I should hang onto the Z and get the 1SS or maybe it's time to send the Z away. I can afford to keep it, it just seems kinda crazy to keep a car I'm not going to drive often. My dad thinks that it'll be worth some money someday, so he wants me to keep it. I'm kinda torn, so I was looking for any opinions.

Thanks for all of the updates and pictures, they've been very informative and helpful.

Welcome

Personally I'd get rid of the Z. Like you said, how often would you really drive it if you had a new 1SS...

Nice to have you with us, 92zrunner. Unless the '92 is primo, it certainly won't ever make you a rich man. Do you have a place to store it until "someday", preferably climate controlled. I think it'll mean a lot less to you once you've driven the new Camaro. You may want to wait to decide until then. Other guys here may have better advice for you on it too.

EDIT: Ah yes, the lurkers, the internet mutes.
