Is this a 'what do you think the base price will be around?' poll?
Because the price range is more likely to be something like $21,000-$27,000 if you're asking for the whole range from base to fully optioned. As I've said before, my V6 Camaro in 2002 MSRP'd for about $27,000 with every option except engine block heater and convertible. I can't see a fully optioned 2010 V6 Camaro going for less than that. |

08 Mustang v-6 are selling for way less than $20,000. Not trying to 'compete' with ford pricing is why we lost the Camaro in 02.

Utilizing Fords website to build a V6 Mustang with a LOT (but not all) of the options available gives me an MSRP of $29,420 before $1500 incentive. I agree that in '02 the Camaro was overpriced (I got that loaded V6 for $21,000 vs the $27,000 MSRP) but to believe a 2010 V6 won't reach near $30,000 MSRP when fully loaded is wishful thinking imo. |

I will continue to WISH for the Camaro to START at $19,999 and have all the options we can stand for a few thousand more.

The ford site IS depressing...:(
the deluxe v6 Mustang starts at 19,600...goes up to 25K with ALL options. premium v6 mustang starts at 20,880 and goes, and goes.....32k with $2k NAV and all options. 2500 in rebates, but still... 30k for a 210hp v6 mustang loaded or not, They do have a TON (literally ) of options, that I never knew I needed, but now.... Still under $25k for stickshift with the fake gt pkg ....pretty well equipped. I can not wait to do THAT on the Chevy site, except I WILL get a Camaro.

Ok, my memory is fading slightly it seems. (But not that much.)
Doing some digging on the internet... I found conflicting base MSRP+Destination prices, but here's a list of the options my '02 V6 had with their original MSRP's. Keep in mind I never said I PAID this much. I paid a little less than $21,000. Base - $19,015-19,504 (found both of these) Preferred Equipment Grp 1 - $ 1,170 TTops - $ 995 Auto - $ 815 Monsoon Sound System - $ 350 Performance Handling Pkg - $ 275 Sport Appearance Package - $ 1,345 Power 6-way Driver Seat - $ 270 Bodyside Moldings - $ 60 Rear Window Defogger - $ 170 Traction Control - $ 250 Lthr Wrapped Steering Whl - $ 170 Grand Total -$24,885-$25,374 I am positive it was over $25,000. So I'm more inclined to believe the 2nd total. So my belief of 'near $27,000' was off by approx $1500 or so. If I'd had leather interior it would have been even closer if not dead on. Considering that nearly 8 model years will have passed since there was a new Camaro I don't find it hard to believe the 2010 V6 Camaro could easily reach $28,000 or more when optioned similar to my '02. Leather interior will add more. A convertible even more. Thus I still believe a 'loaded' 2010 V6 for $25,000 isn't going to happen. (I know I still have the window sticker for my '02. If I run across it I'll post a more exact amount.) |

It will not be as easy as I thought for GM to hit MY price points... but I want to set the bar, to give them something to shoot for. No sense asking them to charge a lot.... If they can stay near the Mustang prices it will help reach the 100,000 per year goal.

$24,995 base price. I can't imagine GM selling a vehicle with 300 hp V6 with direct injection for much less than that.

I'd guess the base (no options, nothing) msrp for the V6 will be roughly equivalent to the cobalt SS T/C - 22,995.

From the competition:
Mustang V6 price.doc Base Camaro should be 20k, NICE Camaro should be somewhere in between: BASE Mustang price ^ and BASE GT price : Mustang price.doc BASE V8 should be 27k. (premium GT starts at 27k)

Let the Base Camaros V6 and V8 START at the price of the PREMIUM mustangs... no complaints. And the base V8 can be a RS with a 327 hp 5.3 or detuned L76.... and let the 400+ hp be the SS or Z/28 and the 500hp can be the Berlineta...
