Did anyone watch tonight's episode of Top Gear? They pitted 3 electric drag cars versus a Red '13 ZL1 that only ran 12.92...... and that was after roasting the tires for the first 60'. Just putting it out.

Something is amiss.
The ZL1 gets beat in a drag race and then a quote that the Tesla does 0-60 in 4.2 seconds.
WTF??????

I bet it's heat soak. Those top mount sc get nice and hot when shut off and sitting after driving... pulls lots of timing. Who knows, maybe they also run 87 octane.

Wow! Put someone in the car that knows how to drive. I'm guessing this was the "American" Top Gear. Those guys are idiots.

Or the ZL1s just aren't consistent drag racers. Pretty obvious until u own one and get the feel for it, they are hard to drag.

it was american top gear. that is all you need to say.

although I think the expensive tesla is supposed to run 12.3 or something like that so it is really a drivers race vs the ZL1 unless you launch it right. it is a 100k 416hp 440lb electric car. all 440lbs right off idle too.

If I was a millionair I would have that for my comuter to save on gas ha ha.

yeah it was the american Top Gear, and I enjoy laughing at the stupid fun they have. It was just amazing that they decided to show 2 different races with ZL1s in this episode. They praised the ZL1, but did not drive it for crap. The quarter mile pass has a tire shredding launch with a 12.9 pass.... ridiculous. I can put down a 12.3 pass stock, with 32 psi in the tires!!!! The other race was on what looked like an airstrip, and well it seemed like the same tire shredding launch. None the less, I enjoyed seeing ZL1s on the show.

Disagree...YES the show sucks and TWO of them are idiots......but Tanner Foust is an animal in anything he drives.
