There is no parts in front of the shifter.

Did you reconnect the connector on the passenger side of the console? if you did not remember to disconnect the battery first.

I guess only dealers have the special readers for the SIR codes, bummer.

if you need help with the sir code they give you at the dealer. let me know and I can get you service info you need. I wouldn't do the 100 cranks, never tryed it but might have to wait between ignition cycles not sure. also not to confuse you, typically a history code should not set a light with most modules, only a current code. but my exprience has been when we replace all air bags and done correctly most of the time we still have a light, because the vehicle was keyed up with the bags unplugged. but service manual says if the sdm does all it's checks and finds no fault it turns the light out. maybe someone here has exprienced this already and can give some input.

I had this come on when I first started my car after the HUD install I found that when I first plugged in the pass side SIR that I did not push it all the way in it looked like it was in but it was not so I guess what I'm saying is double check that plug and I think you can say I started my car with this plug unplugged and the code went away instantly once I plugged it back in

sorry had diffculty loading everthing. 4 is the sir module or sdm. if you didn't unplug this should be ok.
service manual is wrong the sdm is rear of the shifter. Ofer's photo shows sdm location. but there should be know reason to disconnect connectors at sdm I would think. I don't think your problem is there. pm me if you want and we can talk on the phone

I double checked that yesterday. I unplugged it then mated it back up. The pins are pretty long and I know it's making a connection there. Thanks for the suggestion too.

Haven't been out in the garage yet today. I'll check this connection. I know I had to unplug the center console harness and I know it's connected back up since I played tunes from the USB memory stick yesterday. I don't think I unplugged anything else under there, but it's easy to look and see.

Thanks for all help too.

When you guys complete the HUD install, please remember to add your information to the thread I started for those who have installed the HUD on their 2010 Camaro. Thanks.

If you can sweet talk, the dealer will probably pull the code for you for free to see what connector/wiring is the problem.

If the problem that caused the light is corrected, the light should go out on its own, leaving a stored code.

I think they'd do it for free too. From their point of view it's a potential warranty claim....until they notice the HUD and go WTF, were'd THAT come from? But I'm gonna try any how. I'm going to take one more look at the connections before I take it in.

the hud should not cause any problems with the dealers you arent cutting in to any wiring in the car you only cut a hole in the dash. any voidance of the warranty id make a huge stink
