R6P statistics...FBOD - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

As we all know, all of the first cars that were built were not R6P cars. Do we know how many R6P cars were built, ie how many cars have the R6P RPO code.

Specifically I'd like to take my VIN and see what R6P number my car is out of the total number of R6Ps built. I'd also like to know what R6P number mine is out of the SS's that were built. For example if there were 15,000 R6P SS's built, I'd like to know if mine was the 12,000th R6P SS. TIA!

Don't they start at 00001 and go up from there?

I don't think the V6s for the dealers cars were considered R6P

Why dont we start a "All you R6P SS owners chime in with your VIN that have R6P" thread?

That request is possible, but difficult..What about AVIS cars? If you can determine SS production before R6P cutoffm and also determine if any of those commercial SS cars show R6P on the invoice, you should have a decent idea. The data is likely not solid now, but give it time and GM will likely give you what you want.

mines # 7920 2SS and it is NOT a R6P car

R6P is the sticker code (rpo) that was designated for a pre-ordered car. (Car that was ordered before start of production)

Yes. IF your dealer had an allocation. If it didn't go into workbench until after March 15th then it won't be R6P.

A lot of dealers took orders that went over their alloted number and just kept the overage list outside of Workbench and so those cars won't be recognized by GM as R6P.

R6P is an RPO code used to recognize Camaro enthusiasts that pre-ordered thier cars.

FBodfather might can help us with the numbers. GM has this data and it should be pretty easy access.

I have a very low vin <1000. I ordered February 9th. And I am an R6P car...

I ordered February 13th did not have allocation till June, R6P is on two workebench printouts I have. Car was born yesterday 33534, I will update once received to verify if any R6P stuff i can find.

It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas. What do you say, is it the new Bluesmobile or what?
