Glad you resolved yours.

The noise folks are experiencing is most likely not the same as yours (loose inner fender due to missing hardware). It is a mechanical noise most likely caused by a ball joint, endlink or nuts not suffciently tight.

After a recent HPDE weekend my 2012 developed a similar noise to those in this thread. When pulling into or out of my driveway, which slants down from the road, I noticed a pop, knock type of noise. It also occurred on certain blacktop transitions, especially when turning. So following Petes recommendation I checked the upper strut bolts and tightened them up. I moved them almost a quarter turn. I also checked the swat bar end link nuts and tightened them. After that and backing out of the driveway and pulling back in, my noise seems to be gone. Test drive pending...

JusticePete I should have told you, a few months ago I found what was causing my knock and you were right...it was a bad sway bar endlink. Bought Moog replacements, car handles awesome. The rear seat back was also squeaking on the hinge which caused confusion when listening for the noise, fixed that with electrical tape. Thanks Pete!!

if the strut needs to articulate spherically, what happens when you install camber plates?

The mount is replaced with a spherical bearing and this happens.

Thanks for the vid that explains a lot
So no more sounds from the strut mount, and adjustability. Sounds like a win win.

Sway Bar Noise

After about 33K miles, started to hear a creaking/popping noise coming from the front end when moving slowly over uneven pavement. At 43K miles it was too annoying, so found this thread in hopes of fixing the problem. Followed JP's advice and tightened everything "mechanic" tight, but no help. Decided to disconnect the front stab bar (as it seemed to be in that area) , and the noise was gone. So I ended up replacing the end links, bushings, and bushing caps with all new OEM parts. To my surprise, the noise was still there. In desperation, I tried lubing the bushings with silicone grease, and the noise disappeared. However after three days, I guess the grease was squeezed out because the noise returned. Anyone have any other solutions?
