Unless youre replacing them with glasspacks or resonated x pipe. the v6 sounds like trash :/ GL man hope it works out! Remember dont go by the rev sound go by the wot sound around the 2-3k RPM mark

Those were 2 of my ideas. I've got after market mufflers (dynomax) so we will see how it sounds without them first. I googled for weeks and literally all I can do is test it out! The rev is a joke on v6's lol its not loud at all

Good luck man. Did a lot of testing myself. Resonated xpipe is a must(especially after i got long tube headers). Or youll find yourself kind of embarrassed when you have to gun it and sound like a civic lol(me before xpipe :( lol).

Haha thanks, I was on my iPhone, it's a pain to edit stuff. The sound isn't much different honestly, at least I can't tell. I'm almost feeling like it isn't as deep now? I guess that would make sense...I'm just beginning to accept I bought too quiet of mufflers and I need to go a new avenue. I got some videos but there is no open road so I'm going to get one later, i know just the place and i'll post it.

Why did this get moved to the v8 section? What if you put bullitts where the resonator was, and straight pipe it from there back?

That was my thinking honestly. I knew I had to delete the resonators first off to find out if the sound changed at all. Adding the reaonated x will make it quieter, that's not what I want. The mufflers are too restrictive I guess so it's no mufflers and a resonated x or no mufflers and glass packs or dynomax bullets. |
