Comp cam Dyno, 497rwhp stock heads
Copied from LS1tech. Shows what can be done with a huge cam and budget parts. Practically 500rwhp with no EWP, intake or head work.

CAM INSTALL QUESTION

Looks like a centrifugal supercharger dyno chart, less the flatter torque curve.
I wonder what type of vacumme that cam pulls. |

Probably borderline for street driving. It peaks around 7k, If they pulled it all the way to 7000 (especially with proper sized long tubes) it would certainly make 500+rwhp. MOIY the intake was removed to clean oil residue out. |

excellent dyno results, i'm impressed. always heard Comp Cams are the way to go, now this is proof!
now what will you do for that extra 3 hp to make 500?

how streetable would you say this setup is? what about overall cost?
and the big question............what would this combo do with a nice aggressive set of heads? sounds like a deadly combo to me...........and this was on the stock midpipe...........

Hey, great share man. Nice to get pics of somebody doing it. Yeah, I was wondering about the manifold too but I reckon you already answered it the best you could. Was there really that much that you had to remove it? Too bad that you didn't consider porting that sucker while it was off! That woulda def gotten you over those 3 HP.... Looks like the Ebay (faux Comp Cams) spring compressor too...yeah?? Again, nice work, Ivan |

We are using Comps Stuff with good results too..
Made 481RW with basically the same mods but Pypes headers and off roads and alittle smaller 224-236 cam.... Very impressive setup you have bud

I might missed this. But are you talking about this working on an LS3 only or both LS3 and L99?
