I have it installed without headers..... I will get a video tomorrow or Saturday. I got the V8 kit. The only difference is that the V8 kit has 4.5" tips and the V6 comes with 4" tips.

They are 2.5 until the resonators and then 2.25 from the resonators to the mufflers.

Yes, the openings are the same size. My GMPP axle back has 4 inch tips and fits with room to spare!

I went with the cat back since I was able to get it for $467 shipped. I love the sound. I just hope the video really comes across like the exhaust sounds in person.

Another question, so if this cat back or axle back can fit our v6 than does that mean we can basically fit any v8 exhaust on our v6? Theres so much more option for v8.

Well I can tell you that no, the Pypes axle-back system will not fit the V6 without reducers. I'm not sure if Pypes makes one specifically for the V6 but the one they sell is intended for the SS and again, wont fit without reducers.

I just installed it on my car over the weekend. and had to use 2 3/8"ID-2 1/4"ID reducers to be able to attach it and clamp it down. The system does sound really good from the outside but it does have quite a bit of drone between the 1500-2500rpm ballpark. At an idle it's actually pretty quiet and on the highway it's not bad at all. What I found to be most dramatic about it was the weight of the system and how before I installed them the best mpg I ever got on the highway cruising at 70mph was 29.5mpg. After the install I got it up consistantly to 32mpg as these puppies are much much lighter than stock.

However, this is my wife's car afterall and she hates the drone. I'm considering cutting my loses and maybe going to something a little more mellow. Any suggestions???
