2013 LS Fuse Tap
Hi All,
I have been doing a bunch of research trying to figure out how to power a 12V accessory in my camaro. I found a bunch of posts stating you could tap into the F17/F18 power adapter fuses for this. I went out to pep boys, purchased the fuse tap and some pry tools. Took off my side panel, took out the fuse and was shocked to find that it doesn't fit. The pictures I see are all similar but none have stated they're from a 2013 model. Here is my fuse box Here is the fuse box with the tap in, notice how I had to remove the one fuse just to get it to fit. Anyone else run into this issue, any other solutions to this? This was the tap I bought today: http://www.pepboys.com/product/details/8962054/ |

I tapped into the same fuse, it was tight to get the tap in but I was still able to get it in and it's been fine

Did you remove any other fuses first or just squeeze it in? I feel like I'm going to break it, from the picture doesn't it look like its just not going to fit?

Sorry to dig up a thread but I'm having the same problem. The images in the OP match my situation exactly. Other images I've seen where it fits fine appear to be pre 2013 model year and have two Grey relays. I have a 2013 and as shown in the OP images there is one gray and one black relay.
What are people doing to get a switched 12v source nowadays? I want a switched source for my radar, for now I'm using an always on and just unplug the direct wire. Sent from my XT1060 using Tapatalk |
