2014 Chrome

On the 2014 models, the RS has a chrome piece all the way across the front end right above the headlights. Does anyone know if this is removable?

Rofl, it's so funny that everyone is trying to see if that strip is removable. What an epic fail that was on GM's part.

Agreed, i test drove a 2014 2SS and that was literally my only complaint. I'd rather take it off than just plastidip it.

I saw one at dealer... Why did they do that?
If not removable, it's paintable.

Not sure why they did it, but it was a horrible idea.

It is clearly removable as it is not the same material as the facia. Plus the facia and chrome strip are different colors. There is no way they'd set up the paint line with precision masking at the factory for different colors.

The question is: were adhesive or fasteners used. If adhesive, get your hair dryer and fishing line out and have at it. If fasteners they'd be from the backside so you'll need to take the facia off before removing the chrome piece. Then you'll have to deal with the holes.
