It's all about the mileage... You will not see sticker miles until you get at least 4k miles on or probably more. Then you will see it creep up to the 20-23 mark.

I average around 17mpg in the city (surface streets) and have gotten a 32+mpg average on an hour-long trip down the freeway at 55mph after a fill and a trip reset... though I would expect that to be a rare thing.

I average about 18.5 on my L99 with about 17,000 miles on it. My average speed is around 40mph. My work commute is mostly highway speed but with several stop lights. I've gotten up to 25 mpg on the highway once under ideal conditions when the car was pretty new. Since then, the best is about 24mpg.

3 things to keep in mind.
1) your car is not broken in fully, you will not get to the normal mileage until you have about 5k miles on the car. 2) if you are using the DIC calculation, mine is about 5% below by calculating the odometer versus the amount of gas I buy. 3) all depends on how much you stop. A 6.2l engine uses a lot idling plus starting a 4k pound car.

As an example of how traffic patterns affect your driving:
When I visit my brother in Gainesville I get 16.5-17.5 MPGs where I used to live in MIA I got 12.7-13.7 MPGs commuting At my new place in MIA I get 14.8-16 MPG commuting All of these are pure city driving. Stop and go traffic and the MPGs drop of the chart

Thanks for the input all. I will see if it improves once i hit maybe the 5k mark and will try a fuse pull. Not really concerned about the mileage per se but, would be nice not to be at the very low end considering i don't drive aggressive. Most people in this thread driving aggressive and getting not much worse than i have gotten bone stock with normal driving. I will also reset the MPG and see how it might be now after a tank. Thanks for all the responses.

I have 25,400 miles on mine and I'm currently averaging 15.4MPG. That's about 80% city driving. The few times I've taken long trips I've averaged between 22-25MPG.

I think I would get better gas mileage if I didn't have a lead foot. For "some" reason, I can't seem to not go fast. Hmmm....slower = better gas mileage, faster (within the laws) = a bigger smile on my face. I think I'll go for the bigger smile.

Being that you live in FL like I do we have 10% ethenaol blend which decreases mileage. If I'm real conserative with throttle I'll get about 19 otherwise about 16. Did go to GA last week and mileage from that gas was 22.8mpg so my guess is our gas quality is costing us about 3-4mpg. Driving conditions were about 75% hwy for all conditions.
