What kind of ECC merchandise did you guys ever put together? Anything still available? If so please let me know what is out there and how i can get my hands on some of it.
I'll be working this week on a Tee-Shirt deal again. We do however, have the ECC window sticker.

Just wanted to post up. I am picking up a new 2011 SS on Saturday, that's the plan. I am still torn; auto or manual. I am building a dedicated strip car (02 fbody), but I know that this one will end up at the strip. I have had 3 GTO's one manual, two autos. I am familiar with high hp IRS cars and dealt with the traction headaches. I will decide on Saturday when I am there...

I am sure I'll lean on y'all as I am a 5 gen newbie, but I have have lots of LSX modding knowledge and some good contacts from my GTO days, so I hope to be helpful to the group. If any of y'all were at the last Pony Wars, in Ga., I was there in a 2011 white mustang gt. Only did one of those because it was effortlessly fast.

Reason I am torn: I love daily driving a manual. With all supporting drive train parts, I love launching and banging through the gears at the track. Autos are a little boring on the street, but hook and book at the track, WITHOUT a bunch of supporting drive train mods. I have a take home patrol car, so daily driver it won't be. Just fun.

Good to meet everyone, hope to make some of the meets.

Moving to the Pensacola/Eglin area in January and Looking for a pet-friendly house to rent on either bay or beachfront. Must have garage and can be furnished or not, just need a place for minimum 6 months to get settled and find a house. If anyone knows any places they would like to rent to a retiring military member let me know. Thanks for any lead in advance. Ken

The first three letters of "manual" spell...

Automatic = autotragic

Mine has hurt more than a few feelings of the manual drivers....Mustangs, Camaros, and Chargers alike.

Yeah, that's usually the case on modern cars where automatics are no longer worse than manuals. Before 2000-ish most automatic versions shifted slower and less efficiently, had significantly lower horsepower, and didn't have the same number of gears as a manual (as recently as 2005, the automatic Corvette had only 4 forward gears, which is pathetic for a sports car circa 2005).

Nowadays slushbox autos like the 6-speed in the Camaro/Corvette shift very efficiently and have as many gears as the manual counterpart. It's a matter of mash the pedal and go with lethal consistency and predictability, taking the driver right out of the equation.

For me, the fun is enjoying the "life" of the machine by controlling the motor, the gear, and the direction of travel. A manual transmission strengthens that connection between man and machine and puts the driver in complete control. I'll gladly lose by a second to an automatic transmission car if it means I shift my own gears and work the clutch pedal. Outright speed and acceleration are just pieces of the larger experience that is the driving experience, and that's why I'm a die-hard manual enthusiast.

Well... 2012 1SS, black on all black, Hurst shifter M6. I like it. Promised a racing buddy that I would wait at least 30 day before ordering parts. Y'all don't know me, yet, but I have an problem where I get a car, mod it instantly, then sell it not too long after. Can't wait to start...
