Another cylinder head question

Hello all. What are you guys views of the Trick flow 255 gen x's and the AFR 230CC heads. Or the mast 245cc heads. The trick flows are a little more. On my build all I have is the rotating assembly built. I have no cam, was going to
Base that on my head choice. Engine is 416 ls3. Just looking for strong power and a good power range. What would you guys do?

If you can spend the coin, the AFR CP heads combined with the matching FAST intake will make some absurd power. However, that being said, the TFS heads are no slouch either.

Trick flows will change out the geometry some thus making it a question as to compression ratio, and getting the right pushrods selected I know that, I do not know about the others AFR no I think for changing geometry. Money is always a big deal, Me I went GMPP CNC heads for the price about $1300 a pair complete and down the road if I win the lotto: Mast small bore ls7 heads which flow tons that well..... I would not really need with a milder cam like the stage three cam motion I am running now and stock intake. Basically why spend a fortune if your not spending one on all the other components...? I think for our cars the TSP 235/239 is one of the best if not the best out there for off the shelf performance, sure theres others with yada yada and a huge duration but that's not so good and then there is changing out springs anyway down the road. You really need to decide where your going with the build and how far for what reason. I could not justify in my mind a few extra hp for 1200-1500-2000 more...... I could see getting some one like Bo to clean up a CNC gmpp head for some coin.

i was actually going to go with the TSP 235/239 cam. But i didn't know how it would sound or perform in a 416. IIRC correctly, someone told me that that was small cam for that size engine. You guys know way more then me. My intentions are to spray the engine with a 300 shot with a controller. And would like to have 550rwhp but that seems a little bit out the way.

LSx CP heads = cathedral port. My bad for not clarifying.

My 417 LS3 with PRC 260 heads, Fast intake, Ported Throttle body (by Bo), and a night fury cam. It made 537hp at 6800rpm on a mustang dyno. I think you can get very close to 550hp.

That's not the cam you would want to run in that combo with that much Nitrous!

I only recommend a nitrous cam when your going to spray it all the time.

I think it would be very hard to find a head to beat the PRC 260 heads & the value you get with them. Better than stock p/v for extra milling. 68cc chambers to begin with for a compression boost, hollow stem valves standard (not $200 upgrade) Pac .660" springs standard, free milling to your camshaft specs.... The list goes on & on!!
